AV Resources

In this session I have learnt about the kind of equipment I will need to use on my course and how to access equipment owned by the University following an induction I will undertake.

While there is a range of interesting equipment available to me there are also some key things I need myself. The most important thing is some form of storage drive which can be used to transfer data such as photos, videos and sound recordings between devices and AV equipment. This storage device is advised to be USB 3.0 or higher and a minimum of 500gb in size as this enables me to transfer files at a reasonable speed and store plenty of date. Where possible it is also advisable to back this data up to several locations as this is good professional workflow and protects me against losing my files through file corruption or other forms of data loss.

If I need to book equipment from the AV department, I need to email av.brampton@cumbria.ac.uk. The AV department can be found in the main building on the third floor and is open from 0900-1200 and 1300-1600.
