About me

Hi there. I’m Jonathan. As I’m writing this, I’m at the start of my three-year journey at the University of Cumbria; I’m a Wildlife Photographer (and with a bit of luck, hopefully a videographer too, soon) and I’m studying for a BA in Wildlife Media. I’m standing here now in one of the university study spaces (typing this up last minute because I thought it was due next week - oops) and I can’t help but imagine how I will look back at this at the end of my course. I’m sure I will grow both as a media professional and as a person during my time here. Anyway, here’s a bit about my aims for the next three years.

Firstly, my aim for this course is to push myself out of my comfort zone, refine and perfect my skillset, discover new ways to view the world around me and express this in my work.

However, most importantly to me, I wish to explore the natural world through my view as a Pagan and present how we and nature are more alike than we may think; we must treat all living beings and natural resources as equal to us, as our friend, and as co-habitants of our home on this unique planet.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to taking you on this journey with me.
